Introduction
In May, as the graduation approached, 2021 Maki Zemi graduates (Charles, Alex, Owen, and Nick) decided to write a graduation song, paying tribute to Professor Maki and the past two years of unforgettable experiences at WBS. In consideration of the amount of information, they rewrote the lyrics based on a rap song.
Charles and Alex were the main writers. In the lyrics, Charles expressed his understandings of Maki Zemi’s core value and extended his thoughts to discuss the far-reaching significance of MBA education. On this basis, Alex added numerous interesting details to recall their shared memories in the business school.
The process of sound and film recording was an enjoyable challenge. Nick and Owen proposed many great original ideas about the costumes and scenes. Claire, Charles’ wife, helped with filming. From music tuning to rhyme making, from onsite performing to video editing, every step is an opportunity to learn new skills. We are proud to abide the Maki Zemi spirit of “never afraid of stepping out of the comfort zone, and always embrace creative ideas.”
